How women played a role in the election

The 2012 election was incredibly close as far as the numbers went. This election had Americans on the edge of their seat the entire time. When looking at the numbers it is extremely easy to depict who helped Obama take lead in the end. An incredibly large amount of his voters were women. They were the ones who determined who would win this election. We see now that 44 percent of the votes in ohio( the state who in the end determined the winner) came from women. It is now very visible that women can completely sway important events like this in politics. They have been the ones to determine who the winner is. A record 20 women will be holding seats in the us senate next year.

  1. Women voted for Obama because he's the one that stood up for them and their rights, where Romney/the Republican Party were less than supportive of them and some of the comments made by some Republicans about women probably didn't help either.
